There was quite a bit of interest in the Dog Park Vote we posted a few weeks ago.  While there won’t be a Dog Park built in Reunion, Commerce City Parks & Recreation Department was already working on the idea and has plans for a park near the South East corner of 104th and Havana (just before you pass over Highway 76 if you’re driving west).  Here’s a map. 

Plans for the park are just getting and the Parks & Recreation Department is expected to announce an official opening date sometime in the Spring.  We are optimistic that it will open sometime in 2008 though!

There is some buzz going around the community about a possible dog park being build in Reunion. It’s still undecided if it will be built and if so, whether it will be a new park build on un-used land or if it will use part of an existing park in Reunion.

Pancake Breakfast

We’re holding a Pancake Breakfast for residents of Reunion, come one come all.  We do need help the Friday evening before to setup and could also use some extra folding chairs if you have any.

This program is just underway in our community! The Neighbor To Neighbor Program is designed to help make Reunion a better, safer place to live. The program is created with the goals of reducing crime in our neighborhood and keeping citizens informed of neighborhood crime statistics. Currently, the Neighbor To Neighbor Program is recruiting Block Captains. If you’re interested in becoming a Block Captain or would like additional information about the Neighbor To Neighbor Program, you may contact “groovin3360 at hotmail dot com”. There are other way so to be involved in the Neighbor To Neighbor Program. For example, you will be invited to participate in FREE workshops at the Reunion Recreational Center! Stay tuned for these workshops which include topics such as self-defense and computer security. In the coming weeks, you’ll hear more about the Neighbor To Neighbor program and other ways to get involved in this worthwhile outreach program.
